AN ENCORE TOWARDS YEAR FOUR.

As we close the gap in our third year of XV, we’ve been working tirelessly to showcase some new and innovative paintings. This past summer, XV has gone through a paint exploration that delved deeper into textures and innovative colors. The outcome brought about a few new concepts that took on a new perspective in landscapes, abstract views to mythological stories, and miscellaneous play. It’s been a busy year, but nevertheless XV continues to push forward in bringing you beautiful fashionable art for you and your home!

For this year’s 3rd anniversary of XVITALDESIGNS, we introduce four diptych paintings.

  • Reishi Series
    • Depicting a perspective of viewing a mushroom scene as if these fungi tower over us like trees in the moonlight. The colors are deep and rich with cool tones and iridescent metallic highlights. These two paintings are meant to sit side by side horizontally.
  • Pearl Series
    • Depicting an underwater seascape of ocean floor vegetation and terrain, we see a pearl peaking through aquatic movements. These two paintings are meant to sit side by side horizontally.
  • Prometheus Series
    • This abstract painting is an interpretation of the story of Prometheus. According to Greek mythology, Prometheus is credited in stealing fire from the gods to share to humans. As punishment, Zeus sentenced him to eternal torment by bounding him to a rock and having an eagle devour his liver in an endless cycle of torment. These two paintings are meant to sit one on top of the other vertically—the painting depicting the warmer tones to symbolize the fire and Prometheus’ liver being exposed is meant to be the bottom portrait.
  • Clash Series
    • This abstract painting is an interpretation of the story based on the clash of the titans. These two paintings are meant to sit side by side horizontally.

The other remaining four paintings both play off the diptych paintings and bring light to some previous works that debuted in the past collection drops.

  • Olympus
    • This scene depicts an abstracted view of Mount Olympus basked in gilded metallics.
  • Agua Indigo
    • An abstracted depiction of water with play on shadows and
  • Platanos
    • Taking the initial marker-print of this canvas that was dropped previously (ANA-BANANA), we were able to bring it to life in some cool and rich tones. Saturated yellows and browns juxtaposed by cool teal greens give this painting a new view.
  • Espacio Exterior
    • A play on using lacquered and neon colors in an abstracted view of a space.
