Happy Ides of March!

In XV fashion, it’s our very own mini-New Years, a time to reflect back and assess growth and learnings. The last year was definitely a challenging time for everyone. We've gone through a year of pandemic together and slowly started to rebuild to a new normal. Getting back to somewhat of a daily routine took motivation, and to be honest, some of us still are probably guilty of slipping into a lazy mode (now and again). Here we are, 2022! With new March awakenings, it's insane how we are constantly evolving. Getting back into the swing of things here at XV had its ups and down, especially since the relocation of our design labs. Although it's been awhile, we're ready to show you our latest collection drop: Ides Edition.

Let's start on the obvious highlight to our newest drop to our XV Gallery! We are introducing 25 new pieces of art that continue to elevate XV in so many ways. Continuing with our painting explorations, the XV Design Labs have been diving more into trends, textures and shapes. So what’s new at XV? Let's take a look...

Taking inspiration from our previous art collective drop, we are highlighting more pour paintings! Our Banana Split canvases (there four segmented canvases create a whole work of art), along with our two space-inspired canvases, Indigo Cosmos and Cosmic Overcast.

From there we take on four scenic landscapes. These include Waves of Atlantis (an emotional oceanic scene), Sunshine Forest (a brilliant metallic forest), Desert Eclipse (a shining desert with day/night play), and Winter Tundra (an arctic tundra-inspired scene). These particular artworks highlight texture and luster. The initial canvases incorporate mixed materials combined with the use of metallics to bring the canvas scene alive.

With our design studios being our new home away from home, we knew that we needed to bring in some lush and vibrant life to our studio space. Inspired by our in-home jungle scenes, we've developed beautiful painted printed patterns from plant life, aesthetic color palettes, and animal-inspired prints. A play on paint layering techniques on replicating animal and plant-inspired paintings. These include: Monstera Majesty, Sunkissed Wilderness, Thriving Tropics, Cyberpunk Zebra, Cyberpunk Cheetah, Serpentine Aces, BISOUS XOXO, Golden Evil Eye, Golden Snowflakes, and Golden Leaves.

A new highlight to our XV Gallery is inspired by the creative process of putting the art onto canvas. We wanted to show you how even the initial beginnings of the creative process can be works of art on their own. These include: Faces in Contour, ANA-BANANA, Planta Camo, and Mariposa Encanta.

Lastly, we wanted to take the idea of photography and art and play with it like we did our XV Acid Sand. In tribute to our OG home-base, we've taken a photo of a segmented Philadelphia skyline and manipulated it graphically in neon lines and digitizing in our Neon PHL XOXO canvas.

So for now, that's our newest artwork drops to XVITALDESIGNS! We'll go into more details soon how we took these works of art to inspire the newest XV Pattern Lab and XV Home additions! As we continue to connect in any way we can, keep searching to find those XV moments. HAPPY IDES!
