Prometheus Dopp Kit

This abstract painting is an interpretation of the story of Prometheus. According to Greek mythology, Prometheus is credited in stealing fire from the gods to share to humans. As punishment, Zeus sentenced him to eternal torment by bounding him to a rock and having an eagle devour his liver in an endless cycle of torment. These two paintings are meant to sit one on top of the other vertically—the painting depicting the warmer tones to symbolize the fire and Prometheus’ liver being exposed is meant to be the bottom portrait.
